Oops!
It appears that I somehow missed an entry last week, and a very fun one too!! Complete with a glossary! How could you have known about my love of Greek Mythology? I love how the story started out seeming very realistic and then took a fictional turn. Awesome!! Without further ado, here is Delaine Mitchell's story, grade 4:
The Story of When the Gods Where Mortal
It was a Friday morning and I was sitting on the couch. "Mom" I said "yes honey" she said, "can I take Judd for a walk?". " Sure honey" so I got Judd's leash and put it on him. Five minutes later I was walking Judd on Taft street when a pipe burst and Sobek came crawling out. (For more information go to the glossary). I had heard of Sobek before which was good, but what was not good was that he crawled out as a croc! Then my dog turned into a satyr which I realized was Pan (For more information go to the glossary). Then Judd/Pan said, "let me tell you a story.". He told me that the gods had turned mortal for some reason and he was trying to find out why. By the time he was done talking other gods had came. Hecate, Athena, Aphrodite, Artimis, Hera, Hestia, Demeter, Apollo, Zeus, Posedon, Hades, Dionysus, Ares, Hephaestus, Bellona, Minerva, Venus, Diana, Juno, Ceres, Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Bachus, Mars, Vulcun, Ra, Bast, Seklement, Bes, Geb, Hot Foot, Osiris, Isis, Hourus, Nut, Harthor, Anubis, and many more! (Find out more in the glossery) Pan said,"we were looking for the ring of the gods.". So we went to Set. (For more information go to glossery). "We need Set's secret name"said Pan. "I know" said Athena. "What?" asked Pan. "Evil Day" she answered. So Ares said "Evil Day give me the ring!". Set gave him the ring and he let all the other gods touch the ring and they all went to Olympus.
