Friday's Winner!
When I suggested "First Person Fiction" as a genre, I didn't realize I would receive such a clever and creative story! Not only did he tell a story from a unique point of view, but he even created new words to match it!
"HOW PEANUT ESCAPED"

1 Noelle’s Room.
I decided to escape and have some adventure!
I ran out of my house, and ran a few miles on my treadmill until I felt I was ready. So I fell off my tread mill and climbed my water bottle. ‘’You are going to have to withstand a headache peanut.’’ I said to myself. Then I smashed my head against the ceiling. Ooww! I yelled. And fell off my bottle. ‘’Hmmm,’’ I said. ‘’Aha!”
I ran around my cage collecting bedding to make a helmet.
I put it on. Then I climbed my bottle again. ‘’Here goes!’’ I said, and smashed my head again. ‘’Not as much pain as last time, but painful just the same,’’ I said. I did it again. Crash! Went the cage top and I fell of my bottle, deafened for a moment. My ears were still ringing as I climbed my bottle yet again. ‘’Glad that’s over,’’ I said. Then peered over the edge of my cage, ‘’Yes! I’ve done it.’’ I said with glee, ‘’I’ve escaped!’’ Then I walked off the edge. ‘’Whoops,’’ I said as I fell. I climbed up a, ‘’beed,’’ as my friend Cocoa calls it. When I climbed on it was really bouncy! ‘’Whee, whee, whee, whee, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” Thump! ‘’Ouch!’’ I said. Rubbing my head. I had bounced off the beed!
I crawled under it. I found a stale hamster treat.
I ate it. ‘’Nothing to do under here,’’ I said. And ran into the neighboring room.
2. THE LOFT
As I explored, I found a peanut-sized castle!
I walked in. First I ran upstairs and fell through a “windar.” Thump. I hit ground, rolled to my belly, and kept going.
I ran around the left side of the castle
and with my dimmed eyes, I could make out the shape of another “beed.” ‘’Ooooh,’’ I said, ‘’This will be fun!’’ So I climbed onto the “beed” and bounced and bounced. ‘’Whee, whee, whee, careful! Aaaaaaaaaaa!” Thump! I fell off again! The nerve! I crawled to the right side and hit a corner. I felt around with my whiskers until “Yeow!” I screamed. I had twisted my foot in the corner! I limped on until I got to the peanut sized barn. I crawled into a stable and slept… in the morning I went back in my room.
3. Noeel’s Room Again.
‘’Dang it!’’ I said. The ‘’dar’’ is closed! Just then, I heard heavy footsteps on the step things. I huddled in a corner, listening to what the human called ‘’dod’’ was saying. ‘’What do you mean, your hamster has escaped?’’ The “dar” opened, and I shot under the beed, ‘’Oh no!’’ I said, ‘’A hamster’s escaped! Oh, wait, that’s me. But never mind that. Intensity, here I come!’’ I ran all the way to the back of the wall. I ran along the side until I found a hole in the wall. ‘’Danger,’’ I said smiling, as I crept into the hole.
4. Peanut in Hole
It was dark in the hole. It was scary in the hole. But I didn’t care. ‘’Well,’’ I said, ‘’It’s better than being in a rotten old cage all the time.’’
‘’Can you name everything in the cage?’’a voice asked.
I was startled. I could just make out an old, tan, hamster with a broken leg hobbling to me.
‘’What-what’s your name?’’ I asked her.
‘’My name is Julia,’’ the old hamster said, ‘’Now can you please name everything in the cage?’’
‘’Alright,’’ I said. There is a purple house, a green tread mill, and a water bottle.
Juila said, with a sigh, ‘’That used to be my cage. I knew that they would forget me. Any ways, good luck! And she hobbled away.
“Peeaanuut!’’ A voice said.
‘’That’s funny, I thought I heard Cocoa call me.’’
‘’Peeaanuut!’’ The voice said again.
‘’Hey, Cocoa, what are you doing in here?’’
Cocoa ran up to me and said, ‘’What were you thinking! Were you out of your mind?’’
I ignored her and said, ‘’Don’t you just love the chaos, the confusion and intensity?’’
‘’No I do not, I came to get you back in your cage. You are going to get killed!’’
“I don’t know and I don’t care.’’ I announced. ‘’Hey, you could come with me, we could-‘’
“No, I do not want to. Good bye!” Cocoa said as she shot out of sight.
‘’Wow,’’ I said, ‘’I didn’t know Cocoa was so fast.’’ I kept going. I felt very tired now so I lay down in a corner and slept.
5. The Next Day
I woke up in pitch black. ‘’Well,” I said, “It’s time to keep going.’’ I tramped on, wishing I had packed food in my cheek pouches. I scratched the side to sharpen them, and kept going. Five minutes later I heard a bang! I froze. I heard another bang! Suddenly, the wall was full of light! I was blinded for a moment, then I smelled a hamster treat! I poked my head out, then pulled it back in. Then I smelled the treat again. All my instincts told me not to take it, but I knew I would die if I didn’t have food. Cautiously I crept out of the hole. I tried to take the treat and run back in, but hands grabbed me! ‘’Let go of me you idiot!’’ I yelled thrashing with my paws but Noeel only said, ‘’You cute little squeaky Hammie, get back in your cage.’’
‘’Noooooooooooo!’’ I shouted.
Suddenly I was back in my cage. I put on my helmet and tried again and again, but I still have yet to succeed in escpaing.
‘’Dang it.’’
